Boiler replacements
We carry out a large number of boiler
replacements to existing central heating systems. We fit all
kinds of boilers from regular boilers( those that work with
a hot water cylinder and cisterns in the loftspace), to combination
boilers and condensing boilers. In addition, we fit a “scalemaster-individual
appliance de-scaler unit free of charge".
All works are carried out under part L and P of the building
regulation.
We strive to ensure that the boiler we fit will best suit your
needs. We don't believe that one size fits all !
We also endeavour to ensure that a high efficiency boiler can be
installed so that you can do your bit to reduce CO2 emissions
into the atmosphere AND help reduce your heating bills
All boiler installations are completed with a strong emphasis
being placed upon the BENCHMARK LOGBOOK initiative being followed,
filled in and left with the customer for future use
Central heating “Powerflushing”
• Are you finding that some
of your radiators don't get as warm as they used to?
• Do you frequently find that
you have to bleed the radiator of air?
Most heating systems are designed with a 15-20 year life expectancy.
A vast amount of systems can last longer than this. A common
problem with heating systems is that corrosion occurs.
Black magnetite sludge can form dense sediment within the system,
clogging pumps and also reducing the flow of water around the
heating circuit.
It makes the boiler work harder and the pump wear out quickly.
We use a cleaning unit made by Sentinel and cutomer can visibly
see the heating water before and after the process is done
Your heating system could well benefit from
being powerflushed.It can add life to your heating system and
make it more efficient again.
Controls upgrades
You may find that you have an older heating system that could
benefit from having better temperature controls.
We recommend the fitting of TRVs to radiators to obtain maximum control to the central heating system. These have a built in sensor and can be increased or decreased according to the temperature requirements.
Again, not all older systems have room thermostats fitted to
them. You may find that you either have your heating on or off
with no room thermostat and little comfort control.
In a world that has seen a huge rise in gas prices over the
last few years, with no signs of them falling, can you afford
to waste money?
Servicing and repairs
We don't just install, we service and repair them too!
Most boiler manufacturers state that their appliances should
be serviced every year for safety and economical reasons. Nobody
would have a new car and not have it serviced!
If your boiler is to reach the end of its intended life span
then it must be looked after.
Unvented hot water storage systems
These are high performance hot water cylinders that are fed
directly from the cold water main. This means that hot water
taps will give the same performance as the mains cold water kitchen
tap. This then that expensive, noisey showers pumps don't have
to be installled !
These cylinders can only be installed and serviced/repaired
by competent persons who hold a recognised qualification. To
this end, we are glad to say that we are qualified to do so!
Landlords Gas safety reports
If you are a landlord then you should be aware that you have
a legal obligation to have a landlords gas safety inspection
report carried out at the property that you let out.
Home buyers reports
With property prices having never been so high, the public are
taking more time to look in greater detail at the property that
they may be purchasing.
We can provide the service of checking both the heating system and gas appliances prior to purchase, supplying a report to give you peace of mind that everything is in full working order.
